Yeah ... been reading about that ... even made the Canadian papers ... and it's a double-dip recession. Our tories are trying the same thing over here, and it ain't going down well. They are having a difficult sell because the Auditor General has found evidence that they lied to Canadians about the cost of replacement aircraft for the CF-18s. They seem to have made cost assessment statements that were a few dollars out. Ooops ... that should have been "a few billion dollars out." The good news is ... and you might appreciate this ... that the party gaining support at the expense of the tories is the New Democratic Party
Not quite like old Labour because its roots were in rural Canada, but certainly more to the left than New Labour. I don't know how it goes over there, but Canadians have a habit of punishing governments that pee them off too much.
