That must be a different Sand Martin colony, this one was towards Whalley, just past a sewage farm on the river bank same side as Altham Church but the path was on the other side of the river. Also used to see Common Sandpipers along the Calder. Kingfishers are doing better as more waters are cleaner in last 20 years.
