If my memory serves me correctly "The Littel Crown" was on the right hand side of Abbey St (coming from Little Blackburn Rd or Peel st) just past a Church Grounds (I think), it was also used for the young males to pluck up enough courage for them to dance with the young females at "The Ritz Dance Hall" which was next to it. The Ritz DanceHall was very popular when Frankie Laine was at his zenith, also the drummer of the resident band used to play a piece called "Skin Deep" which also was popular in the late 50's/early 60's.
