I have been mum's full-time carer since her stroke in 2009. A few people from various agencies have suggested that I get Power of Attorney in case her condition worsens in the future. We have seen a solicitor about it and been told it would cost over £600. Because of the expense we have decided to ask at her various banks to see if they would allow mum to authorise me to operate her accounts. Has any Accy Webber arranged anything similar or set up a Power of Attorney?
