At Mount Pleasant the school was divided into two houses Enfield which finished at the canal bridge,and Hyndburn which covered all below.

Middle Club went to Blackpool ... a ride up the Tower, and the Circus with Charlie Cairoli and Paul ... and a quick tour of the zoo. And on the way there ... 2/6d for the first kid to spot the Tower.
Two and a kick went a long ways back then. Only went one year to Mount Pleasant ... my mom took me out and sent me to All Sinners ... I think it had something to do with her belting a teacher who made me eat figs, which I promptly threw up all over the lunch table.
