Re: Bits & Bobs

I must agree CG and I have a great deal of sympathy for the Morecambe fans I just hope that after all the problems and disappointment that they have had and, obviously, are still having that they can end up with a decent owner.

Re: Bits & Bobs

Last season's Swindon Town loanee Joe Westley is now a target for their League Two rivals Accrington Stanley, according to reports.
Following a six-month spell with Swindon last season in which Westley netted three times despite largely being a finisher under Ian Holloway, the Burnley striker has been the subject of plenty of interest.
The Lower Tiers have previously said that Wigan Athletic, Walsall, and Fleetwood Town were looking at him, along with Swindon, but Alan Nixon has now written that Accrington are interested in bringing him to the Wham Stadium. Interesting

A promising new signing for the Blackburn Rovers academy

17-year-old Wilkinson’s ( A Stanley Academy product released when it closed ) impressive jump to the Blackburn Rovers youth academy setup is a testament to his potential and existing ability.

Add in the three that have joined Championship side Stoke City's academy and maybe they wernt the shower of crap that they were made out to be to try to justify the closing of the Stanley Academy.
