wedding dress £2.50?

Here comes the bargain bride... in a £2.50 bespoke wedding dress bought on eBay | Mail Online

i think this is one for Miss Kitty and Haworth, this is a gorgeous dress at a gorgeous price.....would you buy your wedding dress from ebay?

I saw this in today's paper. It's a lovely dress.

Even if it had to be altered slightly to fit you it would still be worth it.

I don't think ebay was around 9 years ago when I got married.

If I'm being honest, I would not have bought my wedding dress from ebay but fair play to people who have......clearly there are some lovely dresses on there.

If you can find a beautiful dress like that for £2:50 you would be crazy not to buy it. After all who knows unless you tell them?

Re: wedding dress £2.50?

Ebay wasn't around when I got married ..............21 years ago!! But I hired my wedding dress to get the one I wanted, and I also begrudged paying out hundreds of pounds on a dress you would only wear once.

So yes, I think I would buy my dress off ebay now.

And my Nan and Grandad have been married for 71 years this year and she didn't get her dress of ebay either lol

At the end of the day, it is what looks good on you. Can pay £700 and, although beautiful, could look rubbish on you. Same with this £2.50 dress .. 'tis pretty, but how many women look good in these strapless dresses .only for the low body fat percentage minority amongst us. The skirt is gorgeous though, and could redesign into another dress.

I bought my dress off ebay and im not embarrassed to tell anyone......
Admittedly its not as beautiful as the one in the article but everything is low-key and i thought if i have an extravagant dress but budget everything else it would look a bit weird in the pics and selfish too.
Mine cost me £30 plus £3 postage..........still gona look fab and saved me a fortune

I`ll sell myself for £21 but would you be able to keep me in the manner to which I`ve become accustomed ?

I admire what you are doing too Miss Kitty ... have no doubts you are going to look absolutely stunning .. gosh, hasn't time flown ? not far off now.

This couple still spent £ 3,000 on their wedding though ! Ok, seemingly small budget these days .. is it crackers or what just to suit other people at the end of the day.

I had to fork out £ 2,000 for my daughter's wedding 18 years ago, and we hired the wedding dress .. still was a lot of money, and what got me was that the groom's parents did not offer a farthing towards it !! (and the marriage only lasted 6 months ..) Is this still the tradition then ? Lots of parents must shake in their shoes when their daughter announces they are going to get married. Doesn't make the marriage any happier, does it.
