Vodka would do .... So a thread about tv comedy becomes one about "the hair of the dog" .... perhaps this is an apt comment on the state of tv comedy Once you've eliminated the classics, "the wine of life is drawn, and just the lees are left to brag of.

Last of the Summer Wine? Have you ever seen that one Eric -absolute classic commedy...Compo, Clegg, Foggy, Nora Batty - gentle northern humour at it's best. Just in case take a look at this! If you don't know how to get jam off a ferret....

Just watched first episode on You Tube - no worse than anything here and a lot better than some!

You missed Dan Aykroyd, one of the finest.
John was great, I never tire of The Great Outdoors, or Planes Trains Automobiles....

Didn't miss Aykroyd, left him out on purpose 'cause he's an asshole.

And don't forget Uncle Buck

Some of the early stuff he did on SCTV is great ... altho' maybe a little too Canadian for some tastes.
