Where did those goats come from?

We now have 2 goats in Rhyddings Park's Pet's corner.

Why not take the kids to see them while they are on holiday?

They went in on Saturday to join the rabbits, ducks, peacocks, chickens, pheasants, budgies etc. I always miss some of them out as we keep adding new ones :)

Neil the title of this thread has really enlightened me as to how dim you really are

goats come from goats...you have a mummy goat and a daddy goat, daddy goat and mummy goat get together and make baby goat....not rocket science :D

*shaz runs off FAST*

They actually came from a farm der brain. Our two wont be making and baby goats. Well if they do someone is in for making a lot of money. They are both boy goats, in fact one of them is an ex-boy goat ;)

I havnt been to the park since school , i cant imagine it has changed much though

can anyone remember doing the rhyddings cross country run that we were forced to do every week, we used to cut through rhyddings park, looking back i dont think it made much of a shortcut as it was mostly up hill until you got to ferngore, by that time you were too knackerd to run downhill, and whoever invented those tight blue PE knickers was numb:(

There most certainly is not a charge no. The Friends Of Rhyddings Park look after the area and the animals. At the moment that means Phil opens up and closes and does all the looking after and I get up when I can to try and keep the place looking tidy. I have been busy recently but have been up today tidying up. The food is all supplied by Hyndburn Borough Council's Parks Department and we get other money we need through small grants from Oswaldtwistle Area Council. Hopefully we will manage like this to keep the area up and running.

If the Parks for People Lottery bid is successful we are planning to move the pets area to the current tennis/basketball court area. This will give us a larger more secure area for the animals.

The gates are opened in the morning, usually before 8am and closed at night about 7pm ish at the moment.

That's funnier than you think.
The Councillor you are referring to lives within a few yards of the Pets Corner.
