I might have to disagree with you on that point.
We took a tour of Ossy on Google street view,and from what we saw a lot has changed since we left for Australia nearly 30 years ago.

Hopefully, you'll be able to see for yourself before long. Gobbinland.Com has photos from above the lamp, not in great detail as yet but give it a bit of time. Biggest change possibly that you'll see from the photos is the clear blue skies everywhere :-) What a wonderful April we had! Where in Aussie are you, btw?
