It makes me so cross. St Mary's school has an outdoor classroom near the stream. Each class goes out for sessions each week during each season to learn about nature. They have 5 benches for the children to sit on whilst they're out there so that they can have a lesson. Well, they HAD 5 benches, some idiots burned three of them to the ground a week or so ago!!!!

This is not the first time that it has happened. I recall writing a very similar post about two years ago!

I just can't understand why the mindless idiots destroy something which is so special to so many young people.

What were the benches made of?
It might be a good idea for them to replace them with metal ones if they are going to be replaced. They can only damage the paint then.

I'd like to find out who they are and burn all their stuff on a big bonfire.

They were made of that recycled stuff that is supposedly indestructable!

If it is the plastic stuff then it is good but easy to burn. I bet they burn really well as well.

As for wanting to be green and eco friendly, steel is one of the easiest materials to recycle.

It's just cost now, don't think the school can afford it and the pta are fed up with having to replace them

Probably the top one would be ok. It's not in keeping with the nature area but if it's indestructable it's the best option. I'll check out how much they cost.

I am sure they will do them in green. I am still waiting for that email regarding updated costs from them. I will ask about the price of those as well if you like. Looks like you sit them it concrete and you could place them in a semi circle or whatever you fancied.

If you do ring them ask for Jeff and remind him I am waiting for his requote :D

It would be a good idea to ask Andrew about the best place to get them price wise
