If you see him tell he's been registered as a noted living Accringtonian he'd probably be quite chuffed!

I don't see him at all mobertol, but my daughter and her husband regularly see him that's why I know

Accrington Grammar School gets a good write up in this interview.

You haven't just made Bob Dobsons day, you've made his year!
It was a good school.

I think Bob should have me on a retainer.

As compensation for when I'm thrown out of the QEGS OBA, for working for the opposition.

:D

Talking to two AGS old boys recently about the school website, Michael McCann, and Bobby Harkins. Hopefully they've joined.

Indeed I am excited about Albert Hunt, though I cannot find a direct contact address for him on Google. I am pursuing him through a third party (Bradford) If I find him, I shall tactfully not tell him that he has confused 'complementary' with 'complimentary' in what he has written about his work in Bradford.

Well I'm glad you've found him.

Sounds like a fascinating man.

Sorry, no contact details, but a few more links describing his work.

I did get quite excited yesterday, as there's an Albert Hunt Trust, but they're unconnected.

'Albert Hunt was a Mancunian who made a fortune manufacturing textiles.'

Although the AGS Albert Hunt's family were in textiles as well in Burnley, so there might be some connection if they were related.

I may have missed previous mention of Jon Anderson of Yes fame

Re: Noted living Accringtonians.

Stuart I suspect that you don't know about the search facility on the top line. Click onto it, then put the keyword Anderson into 'Posts' rather than 'threads'. In this case, it will take a while to find if Jon has been mentioned in this thread, but that's the best way of finding ouit.

While I was looking at this man's website after having seen some of his fantastic pictures, found in his Bio that he was born in Accrington. A fantastic artist whose paintings are like photos.

He is.

He certainly merits a mention here.
