Re: Noted living Accringtonians.
Indeed I am excited about Albert Hunt, though I cannot find a direct contact address for him on Google. I am pursuing him through a third party (Bradford) If I find him, I shall tactfully not tell him that he has confused 'complementary' with 'complimentary' in what he has written about his work in Bradford.

Sounds like a fascinating man. Sorry, no contact details, but a few more links describing his work. 20th century arts in Bradford Bradford Facts http://digirep.rhul.ac.uk/file/e0133...finaldraft.pdf Welfare State International - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I did get quite excited yesterday, as there's an Albert Hunt Trust, but they're unconnected. 'Albert Hunt was a Mancunian who made a fortune manufacturing textiles.' Elderly spinsters leave £27million to charity - This Britain, UK - The Independent Although the AGS Albert Hunt's family were in textiles as well in Burnley, so there might be some connection if they were related. |

I may have missed previous mention of Jon Anderson of Yes fame

Re: Noted living Accringtonians.
Stuart I suspect that you don't know about the search facility on the top line. Click onto it, then put the keyword Anderson into 'Posts' rather than 'threads'. In this case, it will take a while to find if Jon has been mentioned in this thread, but that's the best way of finding ouit.

While I was looking at this man's website after having seen some of his fantastic pictures, found in his Bio that he was born in Accrington. A fantastic artist whose paintings are like photos.
