Ooh I once went round a castle somewhere on a school visit and we were told that those slits were so that the archers could fire thier arrows but would be protected from the arrows of the enemy......I will be interested to see what the correct answer is.....when someone gets it. And the Harold wilson one was just a shot in the dark......I should remember but i can't.

The 75-year-old - winner of seven majors and five more at senior level - shot an 81 to miss the cut by a wide margin at the US Senior Open. "My tournaments are getting down to a very few. As far as trying to compete in majors, this is it," said Palmer. "I'm through doing it and I'm not going to do it anymore. It's not fun when you play as poorly as I played." Palmer has not won a tournament since 1988 and has not been competitive in events for many years. http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/shared/img/o.gifhttp://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sol/shared/.../end_quote.gif My golf is so lousy I expected them all to go home at noon http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/sol/shared/.../end_quote.gif Arnold Palmer hi tinks i thought i would cheat again, but i am confused.. it seems he won a few?????????????????????/ His first major tournament as a pro was in 1955 at the Masters, when he tied for 10th before going on to win at Augusta in 1958, 1960, 1962 and 1964.
