Family History Society

The Hyndburn branch of the Lancashire Family History Society has a new meeting place - the Blind Society premises in Bank St at 7.30pm on second Thursday in the month.

Do they have a branch in Burnley or Nelson Bob ? I have some ancestors in Rochdale who I have been trying to trace for ages.

Yes - Pendle Branch. Visit the society's website. On the home page is a turquoise block - click onto it to ask if any members are interested in your names. If so, you can then email them Also- if you call in at the Straits, Ossie on Thursday aft. Most branches run help sessions weekly in the library

Thats why its so difficult . There are more than half a dozen Smiths in Rochdale believe it or not. Ha Ha
