This is another favourite of mine -loved the book.

Bridie has come down in the world, living in a little house as Arthur Dent though!

Loved the BBC series, thought the movie was awful!
As for the book, I've had it for about 20 years, tried reading it a few times but never got past the first couple of chapters - can't seem to get into it. It's the same with Terry Pratchet.....Sci fi / fantasy is my fave genre but the comic angle just doesn't do it for me.

Can't wait!
......didn't know he was still alive!!

Anne made me watch Great Expectations this week which I thought was pretty good (esp. Ray Winstone as Magwitch) and I'm sure knowing the characters will come in handy for some future quiz.

The radio series was best, TV not bad, haven't seen the film.

My two least favourite forms of fiction are sci fi and comic novels but I have read some of the HHG books - Douglas Adams was a one off I think.

Thought the beginning with Magwitch was good but then it got too dark. Older Pip was far too pretty and couldn't bear Miss H so I gave up!

I'm afraid I'll have to correct myself the programs called True Justice, not Rough Justice, although when Seagal is in volved the thugs sure get treated rough:D

Back on topic: another favourite of mine is the Challenge channel, which broadcasts repeats of old quiz programmes, including Blockbuster with Bob Holness. I'll have a P please, Bob.
