50 Army Suicides in 2012: Panorama Tonight!

Panorama tonight covers the government denied suicide of British troops returning from active duty. Terribly let down by the government!

Not quit what was reported on the news, it was from servicemen who had left the army and had joined the ranks of civilians. This group were then reported to have a lower suicide rate than the rest of the population in general, so should be viewed in a wider context. Any suicide is a sad event which is worse for the people left behind.

That's it - most of them were out the army but it doesn't change the fact that the "knee jerkers" only react when it's on the front page of the Sun and other tabloids. Fact is some of those cases commited suicide because of Army negligence.

Besides that it has been proven that ex-army are more likely to assault their wives and commit domestic violence.

Do you have something to back that comment up Kes? Otherwise it's just hearsay, or as you pointed out a "Knee Jerkers" reaction to tabloid headlines.
