I know not may of you watch this particullar soap :p but can I just say even I am disgusted with the story line at the moment.
How can Kat not tell that her baby has been swapped? (surely not 2 babies identical???) The baby's stopped in the same bleeding clothes so is this not a big givaway??? :rolleyes:
Apparently S'tenders is going to try and keep this story line going for years.
Not one that I agree with.........................even I have stopped watching it while this is all going on

i heard about the fact that they want it to run for years on 'This Morning' yesterday, i think its bad, can't watch it either, a lot of people are going mad about it on digital spy, refusing to watch it

I can understand to a degree that they like to run "real life stories" but to me this seems to be going too far and will put alot of people off rather than watch it.
Christmas/New Year is a dark time for many people with-out this story line to go ahead.

to put cot death on a "popular" tv sit com is disgusting. For all those who have suffered this terrible curse it must have been like a knife in the heart again. There is a point where they shouldn't go beyond and this time they have crossed it imho.

Julie and I havent watched it since the "births" and TBH I'm not planning on again for a long time.

I can believe that there are that many complaints Flashy and think there will be more. Not 1 person I know who watches the soap is watching it at the min. Hopefully they will cut this storyline short when there viewing figures drop.

I agree entwisi, it just brings back bad times for people who have suffered this terrible thing :mad: they havent even made it believable, like I have said earlier are 2 babys that identical?? :confused:

This is not the first time Eastenders has featured a cot death. Sue Osman`s baby, Hassan also died from a cot death in 1985.I don`t remember the same public outcry back then.................

Yes, but that storyline wasn't so unbelievable and in such bad taste. In real life no-one in their right mind would swap their dead baby with another. I think it was disgusting to screen such a story as it will have brought home the horrible reminders to those who have gone through a cot death or lost a baby at whatever stage of their pregnancy at a time of year when people should be celebrating and enjoying themselves.

To anyone that has ever lost a child, (me being one of them close to christmas time), this storyline is one that brings back those horrible reminders and memories of what you have been through and could have been when all you want to do is get on with life and try to move on.

Both myself and Ian will not be watching this programme again until this ridiculous storyline has ended.

Samantha Womack has quit now over this storyline, apparently when she found out about the storyline she handed in her notice straight away but they still managed to pursude her to film it???
If you felt that it was so wrong that you handed your notice in then surely you wouldnt film the scenes? :confused:

True, but if you feel that strongly about how upsetting and distressing the story line is then you just wouldnt film it, imho no matter what money they are offering you.

The cast had to be offered counselling after filming the scene.

And did you see the programme about Mike Reid over Christmas, where his widow claimed the storylines he had on Eastenders were so depressing that they drove him down in real life.

It sounds as though they have overstepped the mark on this one, and it also seems they have got it totally wrong. There was a lady doctor on Sky News who specialises in advising bereaved cot death mothers. Her experience is that the last thing a bereaved mother would want is someone else's baby. They want their own baby back.
