No; my point is that the government have allowed more porn and more gambling onto our TV's!

My point is that these two things can lead some people to addiction and anti-social behaviour as bad as anything linked to currently illegal "recreational" drugs!

You've publicly stated you twice took heroin.

Most people would say that was a bit of a gamble.

Still, I suppose it was lucky you didn't become addicted to smack.

You don't seem to have the right personality and temperament, to have been a successful whore.

Which would have only added to your misery.

Some people don't need the stimulus of pornography, wherever the source.

I did not know that porn addicts went around stealing and mugging to feed their habit.

I think you are either being deliberately provocative or trying to score points!
From my own perspective, the porn industry tends to exploit the most vulnerable people in society and has strong links to the drugs industry which also exploits the most vulnerable people in society - and at the risk of muddling up threads, I don't feel that legalising either is the answer!

Re: More Porn and Gambling on TV;thanks New Labour!

So let me get this straight, you are for the relaxation of the law on Illegal Drugs, but you would like something done about the amount of pornography and Gambling in society, which for the most part is legal.

The reason behind this is the facts that Drugs are damaging to some and addictive as opposed to Pornography and Gambling which is damaging to some and addictive.

Or did I miss somthing:D

Very lucid point, however for 59 pages on annother thread you and others have advocated, if not saying out right, that wouldn't it be good to legalise illegal drugs.

Have I misread this statement? Anne hasn't advocated legalising illegal drugs on the other thread.

No I haven't, I've said that it would be a bad move to legalise illegal drugs - am I not making sense? Just to reiterate I am totally against the legalisation of illegal drugs!!!!!
