Avatar is on TV this Christmas.

When I watched it, I was amazed that with the incredible amount of work that had gone into the visual effects, someone had forgotten that a film also needs a decent script. It has one of the crassest and hackneyed storylines you could ever imagine. Straight out of a bad Mills and Boon novel.

Shame. The visual effects deserved better.
