Thumbs up Last Tango in Halifax

I'm sure that nobody could knock the BBC for this beautifully acted light, rom com with the advantage of wonderful shots of the Yorkshire countryside.

Anne Read and Derek Jacobi are playing a blinder as the widowed ageing couple who are reunited on Facebook, and decide within a few days to get married much to the surprise of their offsprings.

It's just so lovely, and can't wait for the next episode.

Kate - if you like this programme(which I missed) maybe you would like the book Thursdays in the Park.
It is a lovely light read, currently topping the download charts, but also the book charts as well.
I have almost finished the book......(read it in two nights), and have enjoyed it.
It isn't slushy or over sentimental, but covers a later life romance(of sorts).

Hahaha, some truth in that. Don't trip over the newly laid gravestones.

I enjoyed it but I did not see the reason for the four letter word both in the first and second part.

Good job you aren't watching 'The Fear' then on Channel 4. They occasionally manage to fit a few decent words in between the expletives and the violence.

Re: Last Tango in Halifax

I love "Last Tango in Halifax"! And such a change to see a drama featuring a relationship between an older couple! These days we're so often led to believe that love and romance are the prerogative of the young!
