Re: Top 10 Weepies

Ooo, that's a good one (btw nice to see you back) so many films make me cry that this is in no particular order

1. Sense and Sensibility
2. Pride and Prejudice
3. Beaches
4. Forest Gump
5. Steel Magnolias
6. Four Weddings and a Funeral
7. Working Girl
8. Notting Hill
9. Top Gun
10. An Officer and a Gentleman

And those are just off the top of my head, I could probably go on all night.

Re: Top 10 Weepies

In fact pretty much anything that has a couple arguing throughout the film then getting together at the end usually sets me off - particularly if it has one of those 'defining' speeches from the man which prompts the woman to fall into his arms.

When Harry met Sally
The Wedding Date
The Champ
How to marry a Millionaire

One or two of the previous answers qualify in my book, but would add The Champ, The pianist, Roots and Schindlers List.

Re: Top 10 Weepies

Absolutely, The Champ is one of the worst.

I know it's not strictly speaking a film, but used to cry at Little House on the Prairie all the time.

The other night I was watching Lost in Austen, Chris walked through the room and without any conversation or even looking at me, he went and got the tissues and said 'you know you'll need them soon'.

Surely Schindler's list is in a league of it's own... Amazing, Brilliant and heart warming

Suppose I should have put that one too. Thinking of these things off the top of your head is a problem!

I think that's an age thing - I never watched that but Chris, who is younger than me, knows that one.

Cant say many films have made me cry, but there have been a few

Green Mile
Armageddon
Beaches

Off the top of my head.........
I have cried at Dirty Dancing once but think I was just really emotional at the time anyway (I blame having kids and hormones!!)

The only thing that brings a tear to my eye is whenever I hear those imortal words by Andy Gray, "Those cheers from the Rovers fans tells us that its all over a Upton Park and Blackburn Rovers are the Champions" priseless
