In the UK there is no need for members to prove their age as we don't have any legal age limits in the way they do in the US. Even sites like facebook and twitter based in the US don't ask for age proof, just state that under 13 are not allowed. That is only because its easier than all the messing about needing parents to agree to them joining.

The usual problem we have with young members is the adults on the site, if you don't like them don't involve yourself in a conversation with them.

I am becoming increasingly concerned with some of the AdChoices links that pop up on these pages. Can they not be blocked? There are enough problems on the www and social media for the young folks without the temptations to click on links like www.PlanetSapho.com.
You MOds have a social responsibility on here haven't you?

If you don't like the ad's do you really think it sensible to put a live link to a site you object to?

Perhaps you are being as, or even more, irresponsible as you claim the site is?

Apologies Mr L ..I was a tad hasty with my post and should have put a broken or false link on as an example. I will be more careful in future.

Perhaps, instead of publicly accusing the mods/site of being irresponsible a P.M. to them might be the way to go with such queries in future?

:)

Maybe if more members put their hand in their pocket and make a small monthly donation towards the upkeep of the site, maybe Roy wouldn't need to have these links on site, all it takes is a click on the donation button top left hand corner to make Roy a happy camper:D

Well the thing is Mr. D, these sites don't run themselves, and this is one of the best your every likely to come across of its type, by contributing it gives Roy the incentive to keep updating the site and making it better, that's why we are now on the road to 1 million posts:mosher:
