How do you know how much karma you've got? You can see the last 10 additions but is there a total somewhere(of green and red)?

If you go to my profile then look at 'latest karma results' next to that is your total karma points.
Don't ask about the green & red power squares, even Roy has forgotten the value of each square.

On my control panel page there is total number of points at the right on the same line as total karma received, ie green minus red. Divide this by 50 gives you your rep power.

Nice theory but I think you'll find it doesn't really work.
WAaaay back at the beginning it worked similar to that, however, nine years later, I think some have broken the power barrier, I suspect that karma powe got to a certain level and blew it's little mind, saying I canny tec' it any more Captain she's going to blow!
After all, if with the power it claims I have for example, if I gave a newbie karma, their power would go through the roof. Similarly if I took karma (though that was always set so you could only take half as much as you can give), it could put the same newbie so far into the red they would take years to get out.
Probably a safety margin Roy put in one drunk & sleepless night that he worked on the site, that's why he can't remember the true value.

That's what Roy said when he knew what it was about, I don't suppose back then how high some peoples karma points would get, so after various modifictions the maths has gone awry.

No nothing exciting like that, I thinks its just there so that members can annoy each other with it for the amusement of Roy

That just about sums it up.
Revenge for all the emails, pm's & text messages he gets in the middle of the night, if AccyWeb goes down, it might be 5 in the evening here but it could be 3 in the morning, where ever in the world he happens to be.
(just a tip, if the site is down, don't worry, no need to send him or the mods a message, he already gets automatic calls to his mobile to let him know if the servers are playing about).

Well I'm glad I'm in the red, it means i can say what I want without worrying about depreciation of my green karma! I do think that if someone is banned they have to forfeight a large percentage of their green karma - hey Less! :rolleyes:

You can say what you like AND keep your green karma (perhaps even get more), if you talk sense, not much hope of that from you though is there?
As for karma and getting banned, as usual a weak argument from a weak and feeble mind.
Breaking the rules gets you banned, talking sense gets you karma, the two things aren't the same.
As usual though a cheap shot from you, excuse me whilst I offer you something in red, you can whine moan and spit your dummy afterwards it won't be signed but you'll know that it's from me.

No no you idiot! :eek: People who have massive green points are people who have kept polite to people they like over a long period of time and thus built up massive points and will never have red karma showing, unless of course they went out of their way to post negative comments and aggravate red karma!


Your an idiot and you have a feeble mind! My karma is red because I say things that people don't like - for example a couple of years ago I posted truth about Christianity and my karma was destroyed into the red by some bible bashers! Like wise I posted about Jimmy Savile and my good karma was destroyed again! So play it safe and you get high green karma! It's simple - make small talk and complement people and you get high green karma! I talk sense pal - you don't talk sense! :rolleyes:

I think my growing days are over. I am dieting. I certainly do not want to grow that way(any more that I have already)
