Thumbs up Roy Salisbury.

Hi I'm Angie i live in Devon but was brought up in Lancashire Mum being from Accrington, I am trying to trace a Roy Salisbury last info was; he was manager in 1960 at a nightclub called the Tudor club he was born about 1931 +/- a year or two, Lived in Ramsbottom at the time and had 2 children , There was an article in the local press apparently with a photo of him when the club closed down maybe late 1960, I would appreciate any help i can get ,and thanks for your time .

I'm sorry -- I don't remember him, but I recall the Tudor club as being the one which is now a snooker hall on Blackburn Rd near the Oak Tree Inn.
Perhaps that will jog someonelse's memory. I dont think it was a night club for very long - I went once in about 1959

PS saw the yodelling aussie Frank Ifield there

Hello angie, and welcome, I lived in Rammie for over 20 years, the only Salisbury I know had the antiqhue shop in Edenfield, one of the children belonging to the shop was called Jonathon (not sure about spelling), he will be about 30+ now. Hope it helps!

thanks for that lets hope it does jog some memories, Frank Ifield eh? is there no end to the rock and roll past of Accrington?- my Mum did have some of his records funny though cant remember the yodelling(which is probably a good thing as it could have traumatised me for life!) Angie
