Basically they need the trade an want you to go. They'd preffer it if you joined and paid 4 squid, but if you don't want to then your welcome to go and buy a pint anyway. Any pub these days will appricate good decent customers.
I don't think any of the clubs here bother apart from the golf club and the grove sports club. con club liberal, legion, they all let you in.

I didn't know it was a members club. I've been in there for Labour party meetings and never been asked to sign in.
