The visitors have discovered Turkey Ham. Nik and Laura did their stint at Brownies' Afternoon Teas, in the next village, this afternoon and brought a packet home. Maddie thinks it's "muck" but Harvey and Felix have guzzled it. Felix demands milk every evening, she stands in front of the fridge and yowls until she gets some. Harvey has given up hunger strike now he has made his point. Neither of them is eating much of the Whiskas and they are still scattering cat litter like confetti.

They are both spending their daytime upstairs, under Laura's bed, but are brought down in the evenings. They are deferring to Maddie, showing no aggression at all, but she spits and swears at them if they get too close.

Another week to go. Will I still be sane by the time they go home?
