I know about Rising Bridge Working Mens Club also the two at top of Alliance St. Beehive on one side of road The Railway on the other both now houses. the one I am on about was def at bottom of Hazel St.

corner house on Hazel St used to be a pub. The end house and I think the two next to it were all one at one time. They split them up into houses. Thats why the end one is so small, it is what was left over after they made the other two. When we lived there it was where they had kept the barrels. On the side of the house it had slates advertising. I can't remember what it had been called. It was never a pub in our lifetime though. Other than that that ****** said he doesn't know, Above received from a reliable source

Hadn't noticed that - cheeky young whippersnapper! Even I don't remember a pub there, although I do recall the house at the top of Alliance Street with the Beehive nameplate being a boozer, alas, before I was old enough to take advantage of it.
