Re: Bio Diesel.
we have used it once and vowed never to use it again, exhaust kicked loadsa smoke out and it smelt awful.......maybe it was the car, also at the time it was not all that much cheaper.

Re: Bio Diesel.
I do believe your exhaust gives out a bit of a smell only likened to KFC....!!!LOL
|
Re: Bio Diesel.
KFC or a well used chip pan.............

Re: Bio Diesel.
My dad had a VW beetle from new, which he eventually gave to me.
He saved money by substituting underseal treatment with the contents of the chip pan. That car smelt of chips for the whole of it's existance |
Re: Bio Diesel.
I used to use biodiesel in my 300TDI defender. It ran fine off of it and smelt lovely. I got mine from this company in Burnley Eco Bio Diesel - Homepage
I also ran on a 50/50 mix of veg oil and diesel which also worked very well, but you do have to pay extra tax on it and declare your usage. Its much easier just to use legally produced biodiesel that has the duty already paid. |

Out of interest what is your car? It says in the handbook of mine not to use it. Also why do you want to use bio? Because it is cheaper or greener? |

You sure it isn't a diesel/gas mix in the taxi? thats possible but doesn't save you a great deal so people don't bother getting it done |
Re: Bio Diesel.
pretty sure, if you hear it running you would say it was a petrol engined one. I had a good natter with teh bloke who did it. I got the jist that he wanted to do it just to prove he could.
