Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
half day closing on wednesday and staff training most of friday
this place reminds me of a badly run shop not a doctors obviously part of ALL the staff training they do dosnt include common sense or how to speak to patients properly anyone esle feel that what is wrong with them is between them and their doctor and not somthing a receptionist should be privy to so they can make an uneducated guess as to if you need to see a doctor or not another big failing this practice has is not been able to order prescriptions over the phone so you either have to walk or drive all the way across town to place an order then walk or drive across town to pick it up THREE days later the place is a damn joke and has only got worse since it moved to tha pals center |
Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
weds afternoon they are not closed, its antenatal and blood clinic.
I havent had any problems with them other than the receptionist being unable to say the word penis.... |
Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
Don`t get me started.............i completely agree with you and as for the staff training...........they have been doing that for as long as i can remember so surely they must be trained by now............

Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
Try and speak to the Nurse Manager Pipinfort. They don't always know what is going on at reception and sure they will push her in if you explain the circumstances or maybe, at least, she will explain why they can't do it, not just a 'can't'. Her name is on that website that Lilly found for you.
Don't know whether this would be any quicker to obtain results now anyway ..:( |
Re: Peel House Email Addy...........

Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
My advice would be to move doctors. They are hopeless, we get folk in with problems on prescriptions and we can't ring them anymore, it's a case of leave a message and we will get back to you ! Try telling that to a sick person who has come to collect something that the Doc has ballsed up, either misprescribed/obsolete or a whole load of other scenarios.
Absolute shambles, wouldn't trust them with anything. |
Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
Lindsey is right, i was in the other week, got instructions plus prescription off a doc, not mine by the way, aint seen him since they moved, n told take 1 pill every day fer 1 week, 2 a day fer 2nd week then 3 a day fer 3rd week. now to me thats 42 pills? went in chemist below n received 28. returned upstairs went reception, asked will you please ring the Doc n ask the score? sorry sir hes in surgery, like i didn't know as i'd just come out. left in disgust.:(

Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
Have been through this with Ian when he was having chemotherapy and it was always done by the district nurse. The arrangements should have been made via the oncologist and he/she should have informed the relevant people. Hope you get things sorted but if it was me I would be ringing either your mother-in-laws consultant or the specialist nurse involved.

Re: Peel House Email Addy...........
I'm lucky my doctor doesn't have appointments, but its very rare I need to see him anyway as y condition is monitored by my consultant and now the community matrons and the COPD team. When I lived in Hassy my doctor had an appointment system, if I rang up for an appointment and was told it would be three or four days before there was an opening, I just said okay I'll have an house call, I'm ill now not in four days time, surprising how an opening suddenly appeared:rolleyes:
