Where Do I Vote

Can someone advise me where I vote this time. (Never voted before)

I live near Burnley Road (Presume Peel Ward), I think the card mentioned something about a methodist church or something but unfortunatly it was binned.

Also is there anywhere I can see who is standing in this area?

TIA

Can't help you with the Polling Station MR D but a list of candidates and their sponsors use to be published in the Library and all Post Offices

These are the candidates Mr D, presume you are Accrington South :-

Lancashire County Council: Elections

The LCC site does not show the polling stations (unless I, myself, cannot find) ... feel this would be useful to have there. Somebody here will definintely know, so be patient until someone answers, or ask a neighbour ...:D

Thanks for the list, I think your right as I remember someone calling round on behalf of GJ a while ago and he is south. Not seen anyone recently though.

I would ask a neighbour but on my street I doubt anyone votes.

If you live near Burnley Rd, Manor St, Lodge St around that area the polling station will be Cambridge St, Methodist Church.

As for who is standing in the election. There are two elections on the 4th June. The County Council elections, but also the European Elections are being held on that day.

If you need any more information just let me know.

That must be the place, allthough I live on the other side (bad side) of burnley road, I believe they are still the same.

European Elections, oh didnt know that. Shows how much attention I pay to this type of thing.

Truth is I have never voted, just normally thrown it away, however recent things have made me think more and If Im winging about the state of things I should cast a vote.

So I have started looking into it more. Even though its quite confusing to me at the moment. As now I have to find out who to vote for.

Sorry for the confusion. But if you live on the left hand side of Burnley Rd, that's going up the road, streets such as Dowry St, Maudsley St, then the polling station will be St John's school.

Re: Where Do I Vote

Mildly amusing story.

Last night a knock on the door - i opened it - girl said 'oh, it's you, i didn't know you lived here, oh well, i won't waste my spiel on you'. She then left without handing over a leaflet. I caught a glimpse of a red leaflet in her hand as she walked away and coupled with the fact that I saw Ian Ormerod knocking on other doors nearby I'm pretty sure she was Labour.

But then, I wondered what she meant. Does she think I'm a sure thing (think again) or does she think I spend more time talking to Tories these days that I'm a lost cause (again, think again).

Answers on a postcard please. :D

But on a slightly serious note - now I haven't got the Labour group's leaflet, so if someone could send me one I'd appreciate it please. As for the Tories, they've long since been avoiding my door so I don't know what they're standing for either. I think I'm going to be the least informed person in the borough if everyone keeps avoiding me.
