Her life was saved by the skill of the team at an NHS Hospital and she said herself she had been very lucky to be alive, I suppose some people are just never satisfied with what they have or haven't got

I think that most women have a feature with which they aren't entirely happy.........I always wanted to be taller......but as I have got older it doesn't seem to matter so much.
We are all so much more than our appearance...personality counts for more than looks....but the media make some women believe that they aren't valid unless they conform to a certain look......it would be very boring if we were all the same shape and size.

Women who subject themselves to surgery for cosmetic reasons are showing their insecurity - better to use the money for mental therapy to improve their self esteem.

Women who do it to please the man in their life, should really consider whether or not that man is worth pleasing.

Dont fall over Margaret but I agree with that statement.

Men have spent years try to get what they think is a perfect women and have to be held responsible. We have young girls who think that being a size is the norm and that plastic surgary is a god given right. Women should be allowed to look how they want not how men think they should. Its men with eg's that have caused this. Women are bombarded by pictures of so called perfect women and after years of what to me is subversive and sublime marketing they become slaves to this perfect image. When they start on this road to so called perfection under the surgeons knife they are another victim of the cowpats thats advertised. No women should go to any lengths to be that so called "Perfect Woman" if it puts her health at risk n that goes for visits to tanning salons as well.

If I put lipstick on (which I rarely do these days) it is for me.......If I wear perfume, that is for me too.......I don't colour my hair......I figure that if folk don't like my greying hair then that is their problem, not mine.....after all I only see it briefly when I look in the mirror....and these days I look in mirrors far less....I have had 60 odd years to get used to what I look like...and what I look like matters much less to me now.....it is what is going on in my heart that matters much more.
I try to stay trim....but not for vanity, for health....my Ma is a diabetic and this makes my chances of inheriting this condition higher if I don't take care over what I eat.

I agree with Spuggie, and with MargaretR.

Margaret its natural streaking not grey. It can be the sign of a wise well rounded person. It dosnt hurt to go grey I am and dosnt bother me nor does getting a solar panel. Vanity is a curse and should be discouraged. Even men are now becoming vain and going under the knife and trying to be what they are not. Hereditary factors play a huge part in who we are and therefore we should not challange Mother Nature as she will come back withe bite of a Hyena.
