It also amuses me that some people keep singing from the same hymn book...even when the pages are wet.

What surprises me even more is that the middle of the road no political alliance, open mind person that is Rindi, did not dash to the computer key board when he go this Observer this week , surely he must have read that the Conservative complain, to the Standers Board, about Graham Jones, was upheld. If it had been Britcliffe who had had a complaint upheld in the same manner he would have been all over it like a rash, Quack Quack:gif_12::gif_12:

I heard about this earlier on in the week but didn't dash to gloat because kate and co would have accused me off stirring it.

But I will make just one point.

In the Observer article Graham accused the Tories of creating a witch hunt:rolleyes:
Over the last few years Graham Jones and the Labour Group have reported PB to the Standards Board on six or seven occasions, I'm not sure as there have been so many, all of which were rejected. Graham Jones is reported once and its upheld. I ask who is guilty of running a witch hunt;)

Well I tend not to make judgements on what people say on matters like this, but I do take it as read when the standards board(who have not axe to grind one way or the other)pass judgement irrespective of who the people are concerned

'Kate and co.' Jaysay ! ... feel honoured you consider me some sort of 'Leader of the Pack' :)

We have digressed badly here, however, this subject has been discussed at length in lots of other threads where Graham Jones has admitted publicly that he lives on Hodder Street:

I read the article several times and maybe/maybe not he did not mention it officially .. we will never know the truth will we ? There was an article somewhere showing him pointing out the pot holes on Hodder Street. Can't see that he was hiding the fact though ...

I cannot see that it would be all that an advantage to him anyway .. gather he lives further down on Hodder Street, and not affected at all by this one block of unadopted/pot-holed road at the top ?

Well you do tend to rap me over the knuckles occasionally if you think I'm stirring it, but my main point is the standards board is there for a purpose, and Cllr Jones thinks its fair game consistently reporting PB to the SB, which on each occasion those accusations have been thrown out, yet on the one time the boot is on the other foot and a complaint is upheld against him, he cries witch hunt. I have, in the main, always found your fair minded, kate, so who do you think is more guilty of instigating witch hunts PB or GJ. Simples

Well there's only one camp where there's a rift and it certainly isn't ours mate, and remember I've had a mole in the Labour Party for over 20 years, okay I might get some duff info at times, but I've learnt to sort the wheat from the chaff, and my mole actually detests Jones, with a vengeance

Will sit on the fence, and just say that point scoring is what all politicians are about these days.

I don't really think that the electoral here will be influenced how they feel about Graham Jones on this particular one Jaysay and will work for Graham as most people would see it as petty and Peter Britcliffe pursuing a witch hunt.
