Might it have something to do with that terrible stench that has been in the air of late? Maybe poisonous gases?

Don't want to alarm you, but speaking from my own experience symptoms of tiredness and shortness of breath can be serious, I'd get this checked out ASAP.

I'm with Mancie here......get along to the quack and get yourself properly checked over.
You have nothing to lose...if it is just a bug that is going round, they'll tell you.
do it tomorrow before the Bank Holiday weekend sets in...it is better to be safe than sorry.

Yes.

Just recovering, after seven weeks.

Know quite a few people with it.

Doctor said it was viral.

After two weeks you think you're getting better from what seems like the flu, then it really gets on your chest.

Get yourself a spitoon.

Good wishes.

Oh, and don't bother with anti-biotics.

They don't seem to have worked for anyone.

When it is viral, they don't work...and they shouldn't be given by any self respecting GP.
I still think that a proper medical consultation should be sought in any situation where there is persistent cough, tiredness and shortness of breath......but hey what do I know:)

It did seem odd.

He was called out, I was that weak I couldn't walk.

He said it seemed viral, the prescribed antibiotics, and an inhaler, even though I've never had asthma.

I agree, best see the quack quack, to get checked out.

We don't want on your gravestone...

'They said on Accy Web it would last no longer than seven weeks'.

:D

The only reason I can think of for you getting the antibiotics was to cover you against opportunistic bacterial infections - these can sometimes take hold alongside a viral infection when your immune system is depressed.
Glad you are better now G

When I was ill in Weston, it took me something like 4 months to recover.......however, at no point did I have shortness of breath.
(I just felt like I had died and they had made a poor job of burying me):)
