The jazz club Peel Park 1963/64

Does anyone know if the long standing rumour that Simon and Garfunkel once appeared at the Jazz club Peel park Accy when they toured the north west in the mid 60s is true?:theband:

Only Paul Simon. He appeared there when he was on a tour of British folk clubs in 1965. It's the same tour during which he wrote "Homeward Bound" while sitting on Widnes railway station.

If I remember rightly The folk club was on a Wednesday, the main Jazz night, when most of the top jazz bands appeared was on Sunday

Your right on the mark there John. It was a great club the atmosphere was unique.

There was something about the atmosphere which I have never seen reproduced anywhere since and I worked in the nightclub industry on and off for 10 years, its just like you had that buzz on the way home down Burnley Road, just wish I could have bottled it
