No idea - never tasted it! Worcs sauce perhaps? Better wait till someone who has tried it reads your message. They might be able to tell you.

Its a very mild curry flavoured sauce
You can get it on the cheese stall on the outside market if you want to try it

Retlaw.

Don’t tar all the stall holders with the same brush. I personally know one of the traders who were there. They would never sell anything that was not to their high standards. There produce would be the same as if it was sold in a shop, food festival or to any of their catering customers.

Just out of interest, would any of you lot know if I can get this cheese anywhere in Accy? If not in Accy, then possibly Blackburn or Clitheroe?

I'm not interested in any sterilised or pasteurised muck, so don't bother suggesting any substitutes.

Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire Cheese

Cheers Dave......although when I was up at Booth's in Clitheroe last year they were out of stock. The cheese stall in the market does not have it. I've not yet been in the Black Horse deli...I would have thought they would have tried to get it in.

Yeah, I know. but I'm an old romantic and I prefer to do my shopping the old fashioned way which when it comes to food involves looking and sniffing. Kirkham's Lancashire is not the only quality northern food I get down here - usually at Borough Market - there are pies, fish and meats as well. It's just a buggar carting the stuff back up north.
