Shall I remind you of that the next time you do it?

That's one of the bravest posts I've seen on here for a while, jaysay stands back and waits for backlash from Heron Way:D

I don't insult - I just use innuendo

innuendo - definition of innuendo by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Why? It was just an innocent question.

This is not the place for members or moderators to thread wander when a new member is seeking information vital to their peace of mind.

My mum was a nurse at Brockhall and Calderstones hospitals for all of her career, and she too told me that many of the elderly residents were sent there as children or young adults for what we,today, would consider something and nothing. They spent the whole of their lives in the hospitals, largely forgotten about, becoming institutionalised along the way. Also, I think there is a cemetery in Whalley that was used by Calderstones. I think it appeared in the Telegraph a couple of years back as it had become neglected and forgotten about. Maybe there could be clues to be found there.

I doubt whether visiting that cemetery would help, post 1 says that the body was collected by the undertakers at Whalley Hospital. Then the enquirer states in another of the posts that they are from the Liverpool area.

Ref - Calderstones

At one time there was an attempt to reintegrate those women back into society.
Social workers set up a 'half way house' where they could try to live independantly.
Two old ladies (maybe more that I wasn't aware of) did prove they could cope and I arranged payments for houshold goods.
