ALFA Compression tape

Hello all,

Does anyone know where I can buy Alfa 'LLFA' compression tape from in Accrington/Hyndburn?

I need it to repair a weeping copper pipe. I've already tried TAPS and Screwfix but no joy.

Thanks

Re: ALFA Compression tape

This might be a daft question but why don't you repair the pipe properly?

Re: ALFA Compression tape

@Neil, cost, awkwardness of getting to the pipe, I'm told it uses old fittings which can no longer get, plus the fact that the drips aren't too frequent (yet!).

I saw a youtube video of this compression tape and it looked ideal for the job.

Re: ALFA Compression tape

Why is it leaking? Is it a split in a pipe or a leak on a joint. A photo might help us give advice.

I still think its best to replace than cover over a leak even if it is with some magic tape.

Re: ALFA Compression tape

It's a leak on a joint. I'll try to get photo up over the next couple of days.
I hear what you're saying re replacing rather than covering (I think replacing the pipe will be a pig of a job for whoever does it) - I need a quick fix as the room in question is getting plastered next week.
