Post BARCLAYS BANK AND A BIT OF OLD ACCRINGTON

Anyone ever notice the stone "lion" that has always been on display in Barclays Bank in Union Street.
Its vanished from site.   Upon asking where it might be, was told they THINK it has just been "boxed" in when they last decorated.
This is a real shame as its a part of old Accrington.  The statue used to be on top of the building where Barclays is now sited.
Hope the Hyndburn Historical might see if they can have it brought out into the open again!
