Book finder

Hi all,
I am looking for a book that I read around 25 years ago. I know neither the title nor the author!! Does any one know of any websites where I might find the book by description of plot line?
I have tried all the usual websites Google, Ask, Yahoo etc, but no luck so far.

you could put the story/plot on here and see if any of the members can shine some light on your quest......after all, it is good old Accyweb and we have quite a few readers.

Somehow Neil I suspect you may be skating again, as annoying as it might be to have to send a P.M. surely if as has been recommended in another thread, it is something as a moderator you should do?
Your own discretion or even your own interpretation of how a post is answered insists upon that, just to make things clear?

if you could at least remember a word from the title or part of the title it would be worth checking amazon out but without a title or author its quite a task you have

OK, here's how I remember the plotline:
A guy is paid a shed load of money by beautiful middle eastern girl (Leila?) to deliver a mysterious package. He is under strict instructions not to tamper with or open the pack, but of course, curiosity gets the better of him and whilst on the plane, he opens it to find a small container of 'something'. He reseals it, delivers it, and some days later gets v ill and dies a lingering death.
The contents are (as far as I remember) distributed around (poss Africa), some is put in a village water supply thereby killing all the villagers, and that, my friends, is all I can remember.
Not much to go on but if it strikes a chord with someone I will be really grateful.
It was a gripping read at the time, and I'd like to read it again.

That sounds like a Clive Cussler type of plot.

ok if you go to amazon.co.uk and select books on the left hand side in the blue section then books again in the sliding window that appears then slect a type of book like horror on teh page that loads on the left hand side then hit the go button at the top wher eit will now say horror then a seach box which is blank you can browse all the books amazon have old and new and see if you recognise the cover.
