Christening venues in and around Great Harwood

Hello,

We're having our daughter Christened on August 29 in Great Harwood, and being relatively new to the area, we're wondering about venues for the post Christening 'do'. Does anyone have any suggestions? We've tried the cricket club, but that doesn't seem to be available on that date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Oh, and any suggestions on where we can get good value caterers, whether it be buffet or potato pie sort of thing would also be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Plenty of good caterers around

Appletree Catering - 07828331756 - can do everything from buffet to sit down meal
Gourmet Catering in Clayton - haven't got the number - quite pricy but excellent quality
Also, Janet Storey (ex councillor has a catering business - she does potato pie suppers at Acc Stanley I think) - very reasonable price

Snuffy's seems to be the place for celebrations in Great Harwood these days

the plough pub is a good place for smaller do's and they can also sort out the catering side of things too

You could always try The Victoria Hotel - it's very reasonably priced, the only problem is it's very easy to get lost trying to find it.

The girl who lives round the corner from me is supposed to be really good - Kelly's Kitchen. Not sure what her prices are like, though.
