Nowhere near ... it's in BC .... about 4 days drive from here .... but it's causing major problems in the Okanagan Valley, esp. around Kelowna .... a hell of a mess. Buddy of mine lives in the valley and he tells me that it's drier than a soda craker fart (that's Canadian, eh).

Eric - my grandson is at a summer camp at Squam Lake New Hampshire.
I notice that it is the same latitude as you, but it is a lot higher in altitude.
If you aren't getting hot weather, he won't be either.
Maybe a good thing - fewer mozzies maybe.

Glad to hear your safe where you are Eric, I suppose that's one kind of thing we don't have to put up with back here in blighty, it never gets that dry here

There hasn't been all that much hot weather in the east .... but the rainfall has been heavier than normal .... as a result: mega mosquitos .... moskies like to breed in stagnant water ... not something I'm into

Looks like the fires are more or less under control .... one thing that Canadians are good at is fighting forest fires .... get more than enough practice.
