Bernie Mullan ........missing!!!

Hi everyone, this is a very serious post. My sister in law, Bernie Mullan, has not been seen since 3.30pm this afternoon and she is not answering her mobile either, which is not switched off and just keeps ringing. The only info we have is that Bernie was supposed to go to the Asda in a taxi for some shopping, but there is no record of her getting a cab to Asda from any of her normal taxi firms. As i am writing this my wife (her sister) and Bernie's daughter Lisa are at the police station filing a missing persons report. Please, if anyone has seen or even heard of Bernie today get in touch on 07801789861 ANYTIME.

Thanks to all for your concern but we still have not heard anything yet. The police are checking the video tape at Asda to see if she actually entered the store yesterday. There are no recent photos of Bernie as she just will not get in front of a camera and goes "mental" at the mere suggestion of one. Absolutely everyone in Church knows her and she doesn't travel too far, always takes a taxi, which we have checked her usual drivers, who haven't seen her either.

Here is a picture that was taken around 6 months ago (approx). Bernie is the one on the left hand side. There is still no news and now 24hrs on. We are all very concerned, please let someone see or hear of her.

thanks joan it means alot. latest is that she was last seen at 4pm yest drawing money out of cash machine at esso on dill hall lane. if any1 seen her i can be contacted on 07716240165 or 01254 721628 thanks

hiya i have the foto of us in the thorn but i dont have a scanner to get it on. there has been no arguments or anything she said she was off to asda an thats the last anybody has seen or heard of her. cctv footage shows that she never got to asda. this is very unlike her if ever u cant get hold of her on her mobile which is very very rare u can find her in either thon, cross guns or queens. here is another foto hopefully abit clearer that was taken not to long ago.she is pictured with her mum.

it is. its all the waiting cuz there is nowere we havnt looked and theres nothing we can do. and she knows how worried i would be esp with her being disabled.

I hope the police are doing everything they can. Its deffo a weird one this. I think you can expect things like this if there has been an argument or something, but like you said there hasn't :confused:

they say they are but they dont have much to go on as there has been no arguments or anything and no one has seen her or anything. i feel so bad being sat here knowing there is nothing i can do :mad:

Could she have had an accident and be in hospital? I suppose the police would have thought of that though. Wish I could offer a useful suggestion. :(

I remember Bernie from when I lived in Church -always had a smile to greet you with, even though she has had a lot of misfortune in her life.

Only just heard Lisa hope she turns up. My thoughts are with you and the family.

I have known Bernie for many years and lived next door to her for a while.
She rarely went anywhere outside Church other than Asda.

Although I don't know the lady in question, I'm really pleased that she's turned up. Must be a great relief for everyone.

One thing has struck me, though, reading through this thread and that is, despite what everyone says about the modern world, there is still a really strong sense of community up there.

Makes me feel like moving back home!

YES!, Bernie is finally back with us all at home where she belongs. Once again thank you to everyone who has responded with kind thoughts and wishes, it meant a lot knowing all were concerned as we were. There is a lot of talking to be done and a lot of understanding why this came about, but we will get through it and help Bernie understand that she is loved and wanted by all of us. Happy Days ahead :wave8:
