Did Accy have an annual Mela festival in 1920? If so, it could be summat to do with that.

Panther is right - George Armstrong was registered for a short time after the war at 22 Lydia Street

Come on, now, Andrew Jackson. I know that I suggested this to Retlaw not long ago, but, please, back up your statement with facts.

Sure - just take a look in the library at the Burgess Roll for Autumn 1921.

Thanks for this Andrew, I live some distance from Accy and can't easily visit the library. As an Accy lad, though, I was intrigued with s'retlaw query like many others, and I'm pleased that you've come up with what seems to be the answer to his question.

I don't undertand why this post is still running.

I checked the Burgess Rolls back in early September for George Armstrong, he was not living in Lydia St, in 1920, but he was in 1921 & 1922.

Retlaw.
