Whilst looking through some old photos that my late mother in law left me thre was one postcard with a picture of a wife and child addressed to the following
Wife and child of 5689 sgt J R Kay(it could be Hay) 1st East Lancs rgt British Prisoner of War Jennelager? 2rd Old English Camp via Paderlr--- could any of you history buffs out there help me out as I am trying to trace the connection between my mother in law and this photo.She came from Ripon but used to stay with relatives in Lancashire |

There was a list in the A.O. & T., of returning P.O.W.'s, in January 1919 his name is not amongst them. Have you a picture of him that you could post on the list. It could be sennelager as the postcard is quite feint,I do not have a photo of sgt kay only the photo of his wife and child there is only one living relative of my late mother in law who lives in a home in Ripon and I will try to contact him to see if he can throw any further light on sgt Kay.I myself live in Grays Essex so i appreciate the help you are giving me

Your Paderlr_ _ _ is probably Paderborn which is a town in Germany. Sennelager is close to it.
