I enlarged the photo and it worked. Then came out of it and the whole of Accyweb had been magnified so I could only see about a quarter of a line. Don't ask me how I did it. Took me a few minutes to try Ctrl and -. Panic over! |

Ctrl and 0 puts it back to normal size. Doesn't happen on my browser, you can magnify one tab and the others stay as they were.

Re: Mystery Soldier
Perhaps re-scanning the photos in as high dpi as possible, then crop around the cap badges before re-sizing for the forum might give more detail.

I scanned the photos using 600 dpi, then futzed around in Photoshop to sharpen the images, but I don't think they're much better. Maybe the one of the mounted guy is a bit better.
I'm now thinking the mounted man is Royal Artillery, and the seated man Cheshire regiment, but can't be certain. Any opinions? I'd like to upload the photos I found of WW1 cap badges, but I think it's against the rules to upload internet images. Or am I wrong? Thanks for all your help on this. Accy Web is tops in my book :thankya: |
