Do I think its worth it? Sorry Suze but NO I don't.
Entwisi always gives good advice and his views are always valued. It really is a matter of opinion, if you can code, tweak, modify then I agree, you should go off and build your own.

But if you're looking for a community site, to encompass the whole of Lancashire, and have no technical knowledge at all, it's a ready made bargain. I've always thought that RewindLancs just needs 15 members, who post on a daily basis, and the site would grow like a small snowball rolling down a long mountain side :)

No,it isn't another AccyWeb. It was supposed to bring people together from all parts of Lancashire, including those parts which were nicked off us like Furness and Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have taken off or attracted people from all over Lancs but it would be great if it did. I had hoped to use it to chat to people from the Morecambe Bay area where I spend most of the summer.

AccyWeb was here first but as they serve different purposes there is absolutely no reason why they cannot co-exist in the same way that BurnleyWeb and Talk Britain (owned by Neal) co-exist.

It was Hyndburnlife which tried to be another AccyWeb and failed miserably which was amazing since they spent hundreds of thousands on promoting it and it was linked to the council website.

Re: SALE: Website

AccyWeb is much loved by a great many people though. A lot of us have been here through various ups and downs and changes (not to mention Belgians). It may be Roy's baby but it's got lots of Aunties and Uncles and cousins.
