Re: best broadband deal...

i think the biggest problem people have with AOL is the way in which they see fit to interfere with your operating system

i suppose a simple way of looking at it is that if you have a diary you wouldnt want someone to go altering things in it

pcs are private and AOL should simply provide an internet connection and their software should be seperate and the use of it %100 the choice of the customer

personaly i think any ADSL conection is inferior to NTL but NTL's new policy of download restrictions will be the death of ntl and liek i said earlier i hope they go bust and another company takes over like telewest who know how to provide a good service

telewest took over half of cable and wireless network and ntl took over the other half yet telewest have no restrictions and have been offering a 3mb connection for a lot longer than ntl

currently i think telewest offer a 12mb connection at the same price as ntl's 3mb connection and is unrestricted

the sooner ntl go bust the better so a propper company who will show more respect to their customers can move in

http://forums.ntlhell.co.uk/index.php?act=idx

is a site where you can hear from ntl customers and ntl employees to how bad ntl's services are getting

As far as I know you only get 128k upload on NTL. My ADSL is poor with 256K upload as far as I am concerned for what I do with it. I would like an upload rate increase but that appears to be a lot more expense.
