Rio Ferdinand banned

He has been banned from driving for 28 days.

Seems that Rio should have used the excuse that he was 'honing his skills', as he passed a police car at over 100mph on the M6.

That would have got him off for sure...

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

What was his excuse? Rushing to get to his mandatory drugs test?

If it had been you or me speeding, do you think we would have got a 28 day ban.......?
I don't THINK so........!

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

His 4th driving ban and they only make it 28 days and £1500 fine. He probably spends that on a night out. I bet he feels really chastised.

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

Will he have to get a taxi if he wants to go dogging now?

Wrong one?

Ooops!

Neil 25-05-2005 17:40

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

Maybe he will just stay in Africa for the 28 days

staggeringman 25-05-2005 17:50

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

28 days that is going to hurt him, taxi nightclubbing, chauffer to training and as for the fine he just earned that as i was typing this post!

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

I wonder if this sets a legal precedent.......it would be interesting to see if the next 'ordinary person' to get stopped for speeding can use this court case to their benefit.

I think its disgusting that famous people are treated differently, and the ban and fine, they may as well not bother, that'll be nothing to him, shouldv'e given him some community service!

Totally agree it's one rule for THEM and another for "us" I have also been told that if it was a company car he wont even have to pay the fine Man U will!!!!!!

Re: Rio Ferdinand banned

They should at least tie the fine in with his earnings, so that it does actually hurt him.

A £1,000 fine would hurt a lot of people, whereas that is just pin money to him.

Make it £100,000 and that would be a step in the right direction
