Rio Ferdinand banned
He has been banned from driving for 28 days.
Seems that Rio should have used the excuse that he was 'honing his skills', as he passed a police car at over 100mph on the M6. That would have got him off for sure...

His 4th driving ban and they only make it 28 days and £1500 fine. He probably spends that on a night out. I bet he feels really chastised.

I wonder if this sets a legal precedent.......it would be interesting to see if the next 'ordinary person' to get stopped for speeding can use this court case to their benefit.

I think its disgusting that famous people are treated differently, and the ban and fine, they may as well not bother, that'll be nothing to him, shouldv'e given him some community service!
