I was also not a big fan of the Clock having heard it's tinny chimes for over 12 years whilst working in the Arndale;but I still have a few contacts and will find out if it really is in the bowels of the Arndale Centre;although I doubt it as there isn't that much space down there at the best of times!

Why not restore it & put it on top of the Coppice alongside the ACCYWOOD sign. Then people around the world would be able to distinguish the site as Accrington by the time difference to Hollywood! Lol

well has anyone any thoughts on this, gayle did you find anything out abnout the clock, that ACCYWEB SAVED please. come on gang gives more realastic idea's, how about if they did a new railway station/bus station combined, it would be great there.

I've just thought of the pefect place for it....

You know that passage way between Broadway and the Market? Well, on the Broadway side there is a covered part, what about under there? Then everyone would be able to see it anytime they wanted and the opportunity to do it would be right now, while they are putting down new tarmac and installing the mobile flower pots. Maybe they could rip up one of those bl**dy awful mosaics.

Would it actually fit there?

Why don't they cover the whole of Broadway and put it in the middle? (Yes, I know they can't afford to do that but it would be nice, and it wowuld keep us dry when out shopping.)
